Coachella Styling Must-haves

Braids, world-class musicans, colorful outfits, ecstatic dancing, layers on layers on layers, long nights, happy faces, desert vibes

It’s that time of the year again and you guys won’t believe how happy I was sitting in my comfy seat, crossing the atlantic ocean to go to Coachella.

Yes, Coachella is just a music festival. Yes, Coachella is crowded. You may have heard the recent critics. But Coachella is much more than that. Coachella means reuniting with friends that you haven’t seen in months or even years. It means being ecstatic, being free and leaving behind all worries and routines. It means feeling sunshine on your skin after weeks and months of freezing winter in London.

The hype around Coachella is well-founded and I always have the best time! You guys even noticed in my posts and many have mentioned that I look super happy and carefree. Your feedback was beyond amazing and so I would like to share my styling secrets and Must-haves for Coachella 2018.

The amazing Tatiana Karelina was so kind to create a one-of-a-kind hair style for me, which was the basis for all three styles that I was wearing. To create this first look, she used the System Professional Instant Reset Dry Shampoo. My hair wasn’t greasy that day, but here is my little secret: whenever you want to create a hair style that lasts and need some extra grip and hold, apply some Instant Reset Dry Shampoo! It’s an ultra-fine powder that will make styling your hair a child’s play. And more over it smells absolutely delicious. Check out this little video to see the style of the first day.

The next day, I was still absolutely in love with this hair style and wanted to wear it again, but I was in desperate need of deep conditioning. After a long Coachella day, my hair tends to look a little scrubby and dry and is missing that sleek and healthy look. Instant Energy Dry Conditioner to the rescue! This spray from System Professional is my saviour for second-day hair and delivers hair that not only looks and feels amazing, but brings it’s energy back to life. Simply spray it on, style as usual and voilà your super soft and supple hair is back and you are good to go within seconds. This is perfect when you are in a hurry or simply don’t want to wash your hair that often but still have to be perfectly styled.

The day after, I restyled Tatiana’s look by simply opening up the up-do, touching up the braid and the top layer of my hair and wearing the braid down. I think this was your favorite look so I want to explain how easy it was to create. The braid was a simple fish-braid with some colorful ribbons and sequins incorporated. I touched up my top hair, which had gotten a little bit greasy, with the Instant Reset Dry Shampoo which revives the look without changing the style. For the braid, I used some of the Instant Energy Dry Conditioner to make it look more sleek and soft. It had a quite tousled look to it, but after applying the spray and smoothing it with my fingers, it looked beautiful as always.

Another thing many of you guys asked me about was my bright and radiant nail polish. It’s the Closer than you might Belém from OPI and belongs to their latest Lisboa collection. Since I just visited Lisbon and totally fell in love with this city, I thought it was a fun color to try. Didn’t it work beautifully with my Etro dress? If you haven’t tried OPI nail polish yet, I advise you to do so and I promise you won’t regret it. I use OPI since years and I don’t know any other kind that is so long-lasting and shiny. No unfading or flaking – I promise! I hope you guys liked this little tutorial that I put together for you. I loved reading all your messages and comments.
